Masters National Track Championship
July 2nd-4th 2010

The 2010 British Cycling Masters National Track Championship was another fantastic weekend of close fought out titles in all categories. Bristowevents.co.uk would like to thank all riders, officials and supporters for helping to make the event the success that it is. Results are now online, simply click on the Results tab in the Menu. Richard Robotham has written a fantastic report with photos of the weekend's action on the British Cycling website, if you navigate to the Results section on the Bristowevents.co.uk website you will find the official results from the event.

Newport Velodrome

The Velodrome is a fantastic facility, one of only 2 of its kind in the UK and forms part of the Newport International Sports Village.

The 250 metre Siberian pine track has been designed and constructed by Ron Webb, a former Australian cycling champion, who has been building and installing cycle tracks since 1970 and who designed and built the Velodrome track for the 2004 Olympics in Athens

Masters Events

Sprint: 200m TT, Heats, S/F, Finals
Time-Trials: Female (A to E) - 500m, Male (E to I) - 500m, Male (C & D) - 750m, Male (A & B) - 1km
Points Race: Female (A to E) - 10km, Male (G to I) - 10km, Male (E & F) - 15km, Male (C & D) - 20km, Male (A & B) - 25km
Pursuit: Female (A to E) - 2km, Male (F to I) - 2km, Male (A to D) - 3km
Scratch Race: Female (A to E) - 10km, Male (F to I) - 10km, Male (A to D) - 15km

2009 BC Technical Regulation 17.8.2 will be applied in respect to those awards presented i.e.
3 Starters - 1 Medal & Jersey
4 Starters- 2 Medals & Jersey
5 Starters - 3 Medals & Jersey

The Chief Commissaire may group some age categories together in order to meet this regulation.

Licence points
will automatically be awarded to riders in the A - D categories. BC HQ will award licence points to those older category riders on request from the rider.
